VMWare Cloud on AWS
The VMware Cloud could be deployed on the AWS bare-metal instances. The VMware Cloud on AWS integrates VMware's compute, storage and network virtualisation products (VMware vSphere, VMware vSAN and VMware NSX) along with VMware vCenter Server management, optimized to run on dedicated, elastic, bare-metal AWS infrastructure. Clusters can range from a minimum 3 hosts up to a maximum of 16 hosts per cluster. Each host is equivalent to an Amazon EC2 metal instance. More detailed information is available on the FAQs on AWS website. Currently the VMware Cloud could be deployed on Amazon EC2 i3.metal and r5.metal instances.
